The system is the first smart speed radar powered by solar energy, eliminating the need for external electrical connections. This makes it suitable for remote or off-grid locations, reducing installation costs and environmental impact.

Speed detection

The radar system accurately detects the speed of vehicles passing through the enforcement zone, which can be up to eight lanes wide. It utilises advanced Doppler Radar technology to measure vehicle speed with a high precision.

Automated violations detection

It automatically identifies vehicles that are:

  • Exceeding the speed limit
  • Not keeping a safe distance between vehicles
  • Dangerous/reckless driving
  • Driving in the emergency lane
  • Driving on lanes reserved for trucks and heavy vehicles
  • Wanted or stolen
  • Have expired registration details
  • Not wearing a seat belt
  • Using mobile phones while driving

Automatic number plate recognition: Smart automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology is incorporated to automatically scan and identify all vehicles passing the radar in up to eight lanes, identifying their plate numbers with over 99% accuracy. The system can also identify vehicle classifications, types, makes, models, and colours.

Visual early warning: Solar ISER has a strobe light embedded in the housing of the radar to warn the drivers ahead of road conditions such as traffic congestion, accidents. low visibility, and road works. These lights are fully customisable and visible from over 2000m away.

Remote monitoring and management: Using radars enables remote monitoring and management of multiple enforcement zones and scenarios from a centralised location. It provides access to real-time status updates, allows for remote configuration, and simplifies maintenance and troubleshooting processes.
